The following projects have been carried out at the Research Centre:

1 - BG85/2016 ”Integrative Solutions to Increase the Economic Performance by Optimisation of the Stiffness and Elasticity and of the Structural Stability of Romanian made Guitars” – SINOPTIC (01.10.2016-30.09.2018)

• Project description:

The project was aimed to improve the competitiveness and promote scientific progress of the economic agent by means of improving the structural and functional qualities of the classic guitars, using the existing eco-technology.

The project is included in the domain of eco-nano-technics and advanced technologies, the branch of eco-technics, because it is focused on the judicious use of the wood mass in the process of manufacturing musical instruments using advanced technologies.

The main point of interest of the project is the fact that, despite the use of efficient eco-technologies, the economic agent was not able to identify the main scientific and technologic causes that lead to the deformations of the guitars after production. The instability of the mechanic structure of the guitars affects the acoustic and aesthetic quality of the instruments, and failing to identify the scientific and technological errors and to correct the manufacturing process could cause the loss of clients and market failure for S.C. Hora S.A. Reghin musical instruments production unit.

The project is designed to identify the causes that lead to the residual deformations of the guitars, post-production, to make a structural and functional analysis of the guitars, to identify the parameters of structural instability, to validate the improved samples and integrate them in the production process, and to disseminate the results of the research and make the transfer of knowledge possible.

2 - Research on Improvement of the Production Process for NORD ARIN PROD S.R.L – contract with third party

• Project description:

The collaboration with NORD ARIN was aimed at conducting research on the application of laser cutting technology in ornamentation of church furniture and catalogues for products made within the firm.

3 - Research on the Laser Cutting Techniques for Wood Products, made for Nord Arin Prod SRL – contract with third party

The collaboration with NORD ARIN was intended to research the laser cutting technique used in wood manufacturing production.

4 - Research on Technological Improvement and Improved Finished Goods for S.C. Holzindustrie Schweighofer BACO S.R.L.

• Project description:

The project was aimed to improve the technology of the production line of the economic agent and to obtain an improved range of panels from a functional point of view.
