Research fields
The Eco Advanced Welding Technologies Research Center focuses on research and development of innovative technologies and products in welding engineering and LASER processing. Research activities cover laser welding, surface texturing, and laser assisted repair processes, with a strong emphasis on energy and cost efficiency through the use of modern, environmentally friendly technologies.
In line with international trends in recycling and resource efficiency, the center develops sustainable solutions for the reuse of secondary raw materials obtained from polymer waste. These activities are complemented by the synthesis and characterization of organic polymeric materials, composites, and nanomaterials, using advanced analysis techniques such as scanning electron microscopy, X ray diffraction, and atomic force microscopy.
The center’s expertise also extends to industrial safety engineering, addressing the development and evaluation of processing methods and work equipment designed to minimize occupational risks, reduce accident rates, and prevent work related illnesses for personnel involved in industrial activities.
