A humanoid robot as advanced IT asset of the Systems for Process Control Centre
May 2025
Early this month, a humanoid robot development platform was purchased through the National Recovery and Resilience Project (PNRR). It now belongs to the standard equipment of the Research Centre “Systems for Process Control”. This type of platform integrates complex hardware with advanced (AI-assisted) software in order to simulate human movements and cognitive functions.
The new platform provides the researchers with the opportunity to test and develop innovative applications, thus fostering technological progress and increasing competitiveness in scientific research. The equipment will be capitalised on for advanced projects in fields such as artificial intelligence, human-robot interaction and process automation.
The total investment amounts to approximately 290.000 RON.
So far, through PNRR as well, other equipment has been also purchased, which features: an accessorised electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance, a portable potentiostat, including software (potentiostat/impedance analyzer), an advanced imaging system and educational robotic systems.
