The Technological and Business Incubator

The Technological and Business Incubator of Transilvania University of Brașov (ITA-UniTBv) promotes the foundation and development of innovative businesses, based on advanced technologies, in order to facilitate the transfer of the scientific research findings towards the business environment.

The incubator is an organizational structure especially created to support the new companies, which aim to develop their business in the first three years. At the same time, the Incubator is a place for meeting people, exchanging ideas and good practices for companies at the beginning of their development. The Incubator offers companies the logistic support for technology transfer and know-how, but also the possibility to develop common activities through co-working and networking (access to a network of specialists they have a partnership with).

Incubation Services

In the incubator, the firms benefit from specific assistance services which help them maintain a minimum stability threshold in business: protection of intellectual property rights, consultancy and support in promoting their business, in accessing funds and developing partnerships. The spaces offered (offices, meeting rooms, laboratory for trials and prototyping) are located within the Research and Development Institute.

How can I access the incubation services?

Economic agents can benefit from incubation services if they comply with the following conditions:

  • the company has not been founded more than three years ago and belongs to the SMEs category (small and medium size companies);
  • the field in which it operates complies with the features of the incubator;
  • the company is not in dissolution, judicial reorganization, insolvency, bankruptcy or temporary suspension of activity and it is not a company in difficulty;
  • the documentation regarding the evaluation for the admission in the Incubator is complete and correct.

The documentation necessary for the evaluation of the economic agents willing to be admitted in the incubator comprises:

  1. application signed by the legal representative of the economic agent;
  2. admission form for the ITA-UnitBv Incubator;
  3. the Memorandum of Association and possible additional documents (copies);
  4. the certificate of registration and the confirmation of the company details, issued by The Trade Registry Office (copies);
  5. the business plan for the following three years;
  6. financial statements, if it is the case (copies);
  7. statutory declaration for the creditworthiness of the company and of the associates.
